Motherhood Rocks!!

Raisa is 1 month and 17 days today,which means i have not blog ever-since and i have another 13 more days to spent the Q-time with my precious Raisa. Its kinda scary thinking how time flies, still feels like as though she was still in my tummy, kicking and i only get to see those cute little face once a week via ultrasound, the minute i know, now she's on my lap, sleeping. Yeah..Raisa is so attached to me that she just want to be with me all the time.

Okay,well i have a lot to share, lets start with how Raisa finally decided to see the world...ooo wait.. she was actually force to see the world..that's more like it..hehe.

As scheduled, I was induced for labor on Friday(23Oct) afternoon at 2pm. I waited for a few hours, there was no pain at all.My gut feeling strongly tells me that its gonna be long hours of waiting. Ive learnt from few friends that force labor requires extra patience because it can takes more than 24 hours to dilate...but thank god my gut feeling was wrong!!My water bag broke at 7.30pm. and labor room..here i come!!

At 7.45 pm I dilated around 5 cms and still there was no pain which construed me to not opt for epidural.(what was I thinking????).

At 9pm, i was extremely excited..WHY?...becoz i get to watch 'Nurkasih'.20 minutes later..i started to feel the CONTRACTION. The pain was greater and greater. I was adviced to take the gas, which claimed to ease the pain, but hell NO..not only i can still feel the pain, i was drowsy, i got high and was completely not myself!I cant control myself, I was screaming...I saw my hubby's face..like 10 faces.It was a nightmare. My prince charming came to the rescue, my hubby managed to calm me down and after the 3rd push attempted..Raisa has officially ready to meet her mommy and daddy.The time was 9.53pm.After 3 days and 2 nights stay at Ampang Puteri Premier Ward, my gynecologist has finally set us free, 'we're going home Raisa!Yeay....
....but not for long. Raisa suddenly turned yellow n it was a red alarm for us.She was confirmed jaundice at 15.9 n had to be warded.I was almost crazy to be separated from her for 3 long days.I cried and cried but thank god Ampang Puteri Hosp is only 5 mins from home. Wut i did was, I stayed at the hospital from as early as 7 am till as late as 1 am. It was painful for me to watch my baby undergoing the photo therapy treatment.Fortunately, it was not for long. Raisa's jaundice reading was very positive that it has decreased tremendously from15.9 to 9.6 on the 2nd day and followed by 7.3 on the 3rd day. Raisa is finally back in my arms again. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

Sleepless nights, joyful tears, joyless tears...a new chapter in life begins. A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.

To Baby Raisa, Be a good daughter and always know, that no matter what happened, mommy will love you endlessly.

A surprise Baby Shower for my dear Veen!!

It took us one week to plan just about everything. I'm so glad it all went well despite me being 'not so well'.The funny part was Veen had no clue that we are preparing this for her. I have to made up stories just to drag her to the Apartment KLCC last Sunday. Thank god, it all turned out just as planned!

Anyway, My baby is still happily staying in my tummy...still enjoying all the nice food mummy is taking. Mommy is still waiting honey, but now, impatiently!
This gorgeous centerpiece is perfectly done by Yes. The baby shower favors, as u can see, the big milk bottle is actually a coins container decorated with ribbons and 'Its a Baby Boy' Hallmark cards are prepared by me.
I so love the purple n white helium balloons..Yes personally chose them since purple has always been Veen's fave color...and who would have ever thought that she would dress in purple top on that day?such a coincidence..she really did surprised us...aww so glad everything fell into places PERFECTLY!

The venue and food selection were done by me. The venue selection was basically based on the location, the coolest cafe that is the nearest to Ampang Putri Hospital, just incase if any emergency, u know what i mean ;). As for the food, I chose a bit of this and that, just to have varieties and the food are YUMMERS!! From left is steak sandwiches and on the right hand side is Peking Duck Crepe. The middle dish is my fave desert, "put it here,put it here"...hehe..yeah my Eton Mass..yummieee
Menu of the day:
Appetizer come main course
2 x Peking Duck Crepe
3 x steak sandwiches
Desert
3 x Baked Choc Pudding
2 x Eton Mass

All served in one go. And hey we managed to finished them all..hehe..its not a problem when u have 3 pregnant ladies, veen(9 months), cat(4 months +) & i(9 months +) in the house....we eat while we can!!
What most important is to make my dear friend Veen, happy!

The helper/maid is finally here!!

Hello everyone!Here's my new maid, Asma. Very young and hopefully she is as energetic as she looks since i am desperately need a helper to make sure the house is clean and insyaallah to look after our baby when he/she is born soon. A lot relief for me becoz god knows how stressful i was when the maid was not around. Being 8 months pregnant and still wanting to do the house cores like before does leave an impact on me esp emotionally. I guessed, that's when my hubby decided to have the maid early. Who can actually stand a grumpy wife..hehe..i was not that bad!

Now, it is high time for her to be trained. My feet n fingers has started to be swollen, i cant even write a single word. Now i am started to walk like a penguin..hehe..my mood swings are unpredictable and recently experiencing bad headache and tummy ache.

..I'm not complaining, just enjoying the motherhood moments :)

My Surprise Baby Shower

Im sorry. I know I owe u guys 2 posts but i can only pre post one entry at the moment since i have not been well lately, down with mild fever, flue..terrified with the H1N1..gosh..i guess its all part and parcel of becoming a mother..a 'Strong' one!

One thing for sure, I just got to share with you on what had happened last Sunday. I was asleep the whole afternoon after buying a bouquet of pink roses for my bestfriend, Veen. She's throwing a birthday party in the evening at Delicious Marc Service Residence. My hubby woke me up a few times becoz he knew that no matter what, i really cannot missed this one. And so i finally woke up, and at that time my hubby was all ready and set to go. I rushed myself and we left home at about 5 pm. The party was supposed to start at 5pm. I was late!

As i was there, suddenly Veen came to me and said
" Iza,welcome to your Baby Shower Party"

Hubby was smiling and so does everyone. I was so shock! Speechless..amazed with the beautiful decor...just like what I've always imagined..small crowd, intimate moment with my loved ones. Veen has been planning this for almost a month, and my hubby n Qme have been conspiring with her all the while. Im so touched.

Here's the Party favour made from love. A personalised mix cd with songs for mommies, daddies, aunties, uncles and babies, a teddy bear keychain, personalised fridge magnet "Iza & Yad's Baby Shower" and "It's a Boy", 'It's a Girl" peppermint candies :) Perfectly done by VeenWith my BFFs.....Veen, Myself and Qme :) Thank you Veen for being so dear to me. We have been through a lot together..10 years of true friendship. To My darling hubby thank you for never failed to make me happy. To Qme thank you for always being there for me no matter how far you are..and to Yes, thank you for being so sweet & kind to me.

Mummy and Baby(in my tummy) are both very happy and we felt so blessed to have such wonderful people around us.

wow...it took me awhile to actually start writing...hmm..where should i start?

May 2009, the month begin with me getting the additional number or AGE or +1 to be exact I turned 29 but my 29 bday was not as fancy as my previous years. No Hooha celebration..Just me n hubby having dinner n spend some quality time together..it was lovely.Thanks Hun!and.. yeah have a great bday lunch with Veen. Thanks for d lovely flowers.Love it!

May has been such a busy month for me...I'm working on 3 HR major projects and alhamdulillah all went well..we have recently successfully commenced teleworking in TM and I'm so delighted that my boss was tremendously satisfied with my work that he thinks that i deserve to have a rest for a week..can u believe it...yeay..and yes i am on leave until next Wednesday.

May I..Everyone..introduce you to YBhg Dato Abdul Aziz Abu Bakar, the Chief of Human Capital Officer of TM. He was formerly from Shell and this is Dato' giving an opening remarks during the commencement of teleworking in TM.The fat lady at the rostrum..that was me..emceeing!May has also been a horrified month when i had a very bad or should i call it the greatest pain of toothache..urghh..just imagine..i was emceeing an event live broadcast nationwide..while me having such pain of toothache, but still manage to smile, pretending everything was OK.At that point of time, i wish i can have a pain killer but NO No No..preggers can only prescribe paracetamol which doest help at all.

May all the pain dissapear...thank god my suffering moment ends when i finally decided to go to dentist to pull my tooth out. And..arghhh...NO!!it was even more painful..and i thought it will all soon heal but YES alhamdulillah..come the second day, i can now smile..becoz I'm okay now!alhamdulillah. Syukran Syukran

May was such a happening month..packed with celebrations, Mothers day, my mom's bday, my dad's bday, teachers day, youth day.. And wow sedar tak sedar its another half way to go for me to become a mommy..insyaallah. Amin

" i like to move it..move it"

Just got back from my regular monthly check up and alhamdulillah, everything went well. My baby has been developing very good, has started moving actively...it was so amazing.I almost had a tear falling. Wish i have record it but i was too happy seeing those little feet kicking, and his body moving around..awww..just so really comel :) that i cant seem to think of anything else but our little cutie.

Ive passed the 1st trimester..Yeay..and no more morning sickness...another yeay..hehe. At the moment, i am pretty busy with work..urghh..not so yeay...and will be more busy this coming next 2 months..urghh!! euwwww :(

I wish i could write more but gotta things to work on. Before i signed off, I would like to thank my best friend Veen for the lovely gift..i so love the book and it does help me a lot! Yeay!Isnt it a good thing!

Syukur Alhamdulillah

I am 6 weeks pregnant :) My baby is still very small, at this stage my baby's heart is no bigger than a poppy seed but has now begun beating. I almost had a tear falling, after 1 year and a half waiting, finally me n my hubby get to experience the 1st moment listening to ur baby's heartbeating. It was a remarkable feeling.Syukur Alhamdulillah.

During the first trimester, I have to be extra careful. No more heels, no more eat everything i want, no more hoo haa..hehe..i spend most of the time talking to my baby, reading lots of academical books, reciting Quran and even put on my baby bump with earpiece of my digital quran, so that my baby can listen to Al Quran very much clearly.

I have started experiencing some very common signs of pregnancy but thank god no vomitting..oh yeah..no.. only once..i cant stand the smell of durian.i vomitted and i found it hard to believe..i was a hantu durian n now i cant even stand the smell..weird huh?

Another not so good sign is i experienced some spotting. I went straight to Ampang Putri ER and fortunately my gyne, Dato' Dr Ashar was still around. According to him, light bleeding or spotting during pregnancy - particularly during the first three months - is fairly common. But its always good to detect early. I was given an anti-abort injection + some other medications and a week mc. I need a lot of rest.

An advice from a fren really motivated me. She said i should take it as a challenge. Be positive and insyallah u'll go through this. Yeah, i know i can do this, Insyallah, God's willing everything will smooth sail until the day i become a mommy. Segalanya merupakan ketentuan Tuhan.Aku redha.
